How to Display Files

DriveView can display PDFs and images from your Google Drive on your Wix site. In order to set up you need to connect the application to Google drive, select the file and

Important: this is an early access feature. Some minor inconveniences using the widget is possible.

Add the Widget to Your Site

On the page editor in Wix:

Click on the + button on the left sidebar
Select "App Widgets" then
"PDF or Image from Google Drive"

With this the widget should be displayed, but the content at this point is just the instructions how to set a folder.

Connect Google Drive

Link of your Google Drive folder you want to display on your site.

Use the dashboard to link you Google account:

Select the newly added widget
Click "Manage"
On the dashboard click the
"Connect with Google Drive" button and follow the Google authentication process

Select the PDF or Image

On the Settings panel

Click on the widget
Open the "Settings"
Click on the "Choose file from Google Drive" button
Select the file to display on your site

After a couple of seconds the file should be displayed by the widget.

Customization

The default style of the widget should match the theme of the site.

You can display the entire PDF or fit the display to the containing area by having a scroll bar or pagination
For images you can set how the image should fill the containing area

In premium version you have more customization options, and there is no "Powered by DriveView" footer.

Large PDF from Google drive
Embedding long PDF documents (e.g. a book) should use the paginated display.

Shorter PDF from Google drive.
For shorted documents the whole document can be displayed at the same time, relying on the browser scrolls.
